About this product
How the Handsaw works
Every farm and nursery needs a handsaw for the small carpentry that never ends: trimming a gate rail, cutting a stake to length, repairing a bench or a seedling box. It starts instantly, needs no power and is safe around animals and children.
The blade is steel with fine, sharp teeth set to cut on the push stroke and to clear dust from the kerf. A tapered back means the blade stays stiff at the handle and does not bind as the cut deepens.
The red-and-black handle has a closed grip that takes the whole hand and keeps the saw lined up with the cut. It is a tool for dry and fresh timber alike and is used by builders, joiners and growers.
Before you buy the Handsaw
A handsaw is a basic tool that every workshop and farm shed needs. Choose one with a comfortable closed grip and a blade of suitable length for the timber you cut. Keep it for dry wood and use a pruning saw for green branches, which clog fine teeth.
