Planters, Seeders & Ridgers
Machines that form beds, ridges and furrows and place seed accurately.
Overview
About our Planters, Seeders & Ridgers range
Accurate planting decides how evenly a crop comes up. These machines place seed at a steady depth and spacing, and many form the beds or ridges and apply fertiliser in the same pass, so the field is crossed fewer times.
From potato and cassava planters to multi-crop seed drills, bed makers and ridgers, the range covers the main row-crop and raised-bed systems.

Buying notes
Choosing planters, seeders and ridgers
A planter decides how evenly your crop comes up, and uneven emergence is very hard to correct later. Spend your attention on seed metering, row spacing and bed shape, since these are the details that determine your yield.
Pick by crop, not by brand
Potatoes, cassava, onions and cereals all need different metering. A multi-crop machine is flexible, while a single-crop planter gives the best placement for one job.
Set the row spacing first
Know the row spacing your crop and your later machinery need, and choose a planter whose frame can match it. Changing row width later is expensive.
Raised beds and ridges
Beds and ridges improve drainage and make irrigation easier, but they must match the wheel track of your tractor and sprayer.
Calibrate every season
Even the best planter needs a seed-rate check before each crop. Drop seed onto a mat, count it, and adjust until it matches your target.
