About this product
How the Border Disc works
A border disc defines the edges of the irrigation ridges. By throwing soil into neat banks at the boundary, it keeps water where you want it and helps protect against erosion.
The size and shape of the banks can be adjusted by hand to suit the job. It attaches to a three-point linkage and needs a tractor of at least 50 HP.
Set the size and shape of the banks by hand before you start, and mark your line with a stake at each end so the border runs straight. A tractor of at least 50 HP is needed. Banks hold best when they are formed in moist, not dusty, soil.
Before you buy the Border Disc
Borders and bunds make irrigation much easier, especially in flood or furrow systems. A border disc builds them fast and consistently. Check the working width against the spacing of your fields, and make sure your tractor has a three-point linkage and at least 50 HP.
