About this product
How the Irrigation Spray Gun works
Small sprinklers are fine for gardens, but a field needs reach. A spray gun, sometimes called a big gun, delivers a large flow through a larger nozzle and throws it a long way, so you can irrigate wide areas with few outlets and little pipework.
The body is metal, silver in colour, with a red swing arm that hits the stream and turns the gun in steps around its axis. The inlet is threaded for connecting to a riser or a hose, and the nozzle can be changed to adjust flow rate and throw distance for your pump.
Spray guns are used on pasture, fodder crops, orchards, sports fields and also for dust control and cooling. They need good pressure and a pump or pipeline to match, so we help you choose the nozzle and layout; tell us your pump flow and the area to be irrigated.
Before you buy the Irrigation Spray Gun
A spray gun waters a very large circle, so a few units can cover a whole field. It needs good pressure and a stable riser. Choose the nozzle size to match your pump, and check for wind drift, which can distort the pattern.
