How the Grapple Loader works
The grapple loader is a heavy-duty front-end attachment for farms, landscaping, forestry and construction contractors. Built from reinforced steel with a reliable hydraulic clamp, it grips, lifts and carries bulky or irregular loads such as logs, palm fronds, sugarcane, crop residue and hay bales, safely and precisely.
Double-acting hydraulic cylinders give a strong, controlled clamp, with a working width of 1.2–1.8 m and a lifting capacity of up to 500–1,000 kg depending on the tractor and model. It mounts on a quick-attach or fixed front loader frame, suits tractors of 50–100 HP, and extended arms, reinforced tines and tooth guards are available. Lubricate the pivots regularly and check hoses, fittings and oil level.
Never exceed the lifting capacity of your tractor, which is typically 500 to 1,000 kg depending on model. Position the grapple over the load, close it fully, and lift slowly. Regular greasing of the pivot points and a check of hoses and fittings keep the clamp working smoothly.
Before you buy the Grapple Loader
A grapple does what a bucket cannot: it grips logs, bales, sugarcane and bulky crop residue. Choose a width of 1.2 to 1.8 metres to suit your loads, and make sure the loader's hydraulics can run a double-acting cylinder.
