About this product
How the Post Hole Digger works
The post hole digger digs holes in rows at equal distances and with an even diameter. It is the right tool for tree plantations, electrical poles and farm hedges, where dozens of identical holes would take days to dig by hand.
A hole about 90 cm deep takes around 30 seconds. The digger has a single-speed, heavy-duty gearbox, suits all types of tractor and is easy to attach and detach. With the auger removed it can even be used as a small crane.
Match the auger diameter to your post or tree, and dig in line with a taut string to keep rows straight. Because the digger turns quickly, keep people clear of the auger and stop the PTO before clearing soil. About 90 cm deep takes around 30 seconds.
Before you buy the Post Hole Digger
Fencing, vineyards and orchard posts all need holes, and an auger on the tractor makes them in seconds. Choose a bit size for the posts you use, and watch for stones and buried pipes. It suits any tractor, so it is an easy attachment to add.
