How the GSM SMS Power Failure Reporter works
A power cut at night can ruin a poultry house, a cold room or a pumping station before anyone notices. A GSM reporter watches over the site when you are away and sends a message to your phone the moment something is wrong.
A circuit board sits in a grey junction box with terminals, cable glands and a small antenna. It uses a mobile SIM card to send and receive SMS messages. Its inputs monitor mains power and other signals such as a float switch, a thermostat or a door contact, so one box can watch several things.
Depending on the model, you can set several phone numbers, send commands to switch outputs on or off, and ask the unit for its status by text. It is used on poultry farms, borehole pumps, cold stores, greenhouses and remote buildings with no internet. We confirm the supported frequencies and functions for your country.
