How the Smooth Disc Harrow Blade works
Disc harrows cut and turn the soil with rows of round discs. Each disc works against abrasive soil all day, so its edge wears and eventually needs replacing. A worn disc cuts shallow, rides up, and leaves the field uneven.
This blade is a plain disc with a smooth edge, which suits stubble, ploughed land and general seedbed preparation. It is made of black-finished steel, and a square hole in the centre locks onto the axle shaft so the disc turns with the gang and does not slip.
Hole size, diameter, thickness and concavity vary between harrow models, so we match the disc to your machine. Send us the diameter, the hole size and a photo, and we will quote the right disc for your harrow, in single pieces or full sets.
