About this product

How the Builder's Wheelbarrow works

Almost every building job is a transport problem: materials arrive at one corner of the site and must be moved to another. A wheelbarrow takes most of the weight on the wheel, so a worker can carry loads that would be impossible to lift.

The tray is deep, pressed from steel and painted orange, with a strong rolled edge. A single pneumatic wheel in front absorbs bumps and climbs over uneven ground, while a pair of grey tubular legs at the back hold the barrow level when it is put down. Tubular steel handles run along the sides and finish in grips.

It is used by builders, landscapers, farmers and gardeners alike, and can also carry feed, manure, firewood and harvest. We supply barrows in cartons or pallets, and spare wheels and tyres to match, for hardware shops and contractors.

Before you buy the Builder's Wheelbarrow

A barrow is the first piece of equipment on any site and the last to be retired. Look for a strong tray, a pneumatic tyre and sound handles. Keep the tyre inflated and rinse it after concrete work and it will give years of service.
