About this product
How the Concrete Screed Bar works
A slab is only as good as its surface. Once concrete is poured between the formwork, someone has to pull it level to the right height, quickly and before it begins to set. That is the job of the screed bar, and a long straight one is the key to a flat floor.
The bar is a long straight aluminium section, light enough to be handled by a worker or two but stiff enough not to bow. A tall red handle on a pair of side braces lets the operator pull it from a distance and keep a steady angle, and the straight edge strikes off the extra concrete as it slides over the guide rails.
Aluminium does not rust, and wet concrete washes off it easily if you rinse promptly. Screed bars are used for floors, driveways, paths and slabs, singly or with a vibrating unit. We confirm the length and profile you need before supplying.
Before you buy the Concrete Screed Bar
A screed bar sets the level of a slab, so a straight bar is important. Aluminium is light and strong. Choose a length that spans your forms comfortably, and work with a second person on wide pours for a better finish.
